Sprint: Blackberry Tour 9630 release this summer
By: Peter Chubb | June 16, 2009 | 2 CommentsAs you would expect, Sprint is always late to the party when it comes to launching handsets. This is the same story with the release of the Blackberry Tour 9630, Verizon made their announcement first by just a few minutes, but Sprint who is to release the Tour in the summer did offer a few more details.
Sprint has confirmed that the RIM Blackberry Tour 9630 will have a price of $199.99; this is after a $150 rebate when taken out on a two-year contract. Engadget have said that once the Tour is launched on Sprint, people will then start to compare it to the Pre.
The Palm Pre has had a bit of a shaky start; many handsets are turning themselves off or locking up. No doubt, Palm is working hard on an update to the firmware. This could not have come at a worse time for Palm, not only do they have to contend with Apple launching the iPhone 3.0 OS tomorrow, June 17, but they also have their new iPhone 3G S launching on Friday, June 19.
