We have been waiting for some time, but Olympus has finally announced their first MIcro Four Thirds camera, the E-P1 Digital Pen Camera. The reason for such a name is that the camera reflects the Olympus Pen-series heritage.
Engadget explains that the E-P1 is classed as an MFT shooter and most of the specs and the design coincide with most of the previous rumors that had been leaked. The 12.3 megapixel camera comes with a host of features, such as Live MOS sensor with TruePic V image processing, 3-inch LCD, ISO 100-6400 sensitivity, 20 shooting modes and much more.
The camera does not look very big once the 14-42 lens kit retracts into its barrel when not being used. The Olympus E-P1 Digital Pen Camera will be launched in July and will have a price of $749 for just the body, $799 with a 14-42mm lens, and $899 with the 17mm pancake lens and viewfinder.
