O2 Q&A on New iPhone 3GS 2009

Our friends over at Phones Review recently published an article about the new Apple iPhone 3GS 2009 which is due for release on Friday June 19, 2009. O2 have since responded to them with a few answers to their questions. The Q&A certainly is an interesting read; we have already heard what AT&T had to say, so it is great to hear what O2 have to say for themselves.

Phones Review had said that they along with iPhone 3G users are disappointed over a few things; the first was the early upgrade fee. O2 replied that the early upgrade fee depends on individual circumstances. There are ways that you will not have to pay for an early upgrade, but your monthly bill would have to be over £80 each month.

Phones Review did say that they would like a handset for themselves, they said that they did not like the idea of queuing up outside the store, how lazy is that. O2 replied saying that they have added their name to a list of people, so they could be getting a free handset to review.

Many people have also moaned about how much they will have to pay for the new Apple iPhone 3G S, but O2 have defended themselves just like AT&T had. They stated that as the iPhone 3G was already subsidized, they could not subsidize the new handset when someone is so early in to their contract.

Our advice to you would be to try the new iPhone 3.0 OS first before you decide to upgrade to the new iPhone 3G S.
