Halo 3 ODST on Xbox 360: Bungie say no Master Chief

For all Halo fans, you will already know that Halo ODST for the Xbox 360 is a side-story, in which you will play as ODSTs. These are the soldiers that have supported Master Chief while saving the planet. Game developer, Bungie have said that Master Chief will not be on the new game.

Gamers were hoping that even though it was a side-story they would get to see Master Chief, but this has certainly come as a shock to fans. MTV Multiplayer has argued that Gordon Freeman showed up on all the Half-Life spin-offs.

Bungie said that as the game takes place in another part of the galaxy, it was not right to have Master Chief appear. MC has bigger and more important things to do, so it is down to an ODST to do some of the dirty work.
