PSN: Final Fantasy VII top for PS3 and PSP

Last week we saw Final Fantasy VII released on the PlayStation Store, with the small price of just $9.99. It has come as no surprise that this is currently the most popular RPG being downloaded from the store. The game is available on the Sony PSP and PS3

In second place was Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, this is also available to download for the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation 3. Examiner now hopes that the success of this game will make more PSOne Classics available to download.

Final Fantasy VII was developed by Squaresoft, which we now know as Square Enix. The game was the seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series and was released in 1997 on the PlayStation and 1998 for the PC. The game was the first of its kind.

Got this last week. Would be nice if they would have tweaked the game slightly. When you get to disc 2 of the game, you pull up the PS screen and select the switch disc button option lol.

Really, would it have been that hard to remove disc switching? Maybe it would have been. I tried loading my old FFVII saved game from years ago and it loaded flawlessly.

Also Trophy support for this game would have been great. Oh well.

yeah disc change improvement would have been good but at least you don’t have to change the disc trophys would have been nice but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but you can stay online but can’t view xmb in any ps1/2 game annoying Sony put tht on ur todo list please.

Yeah I got it. It’s cool but on this game the Cancel button is ‘X’ and the “accept” button is ‘O’. This is backwards for today’s style of play. Either way I think it was a good idea to put this out. I only played the demo on the the Tactics disk back in 96 and was not able to play it on the PS.

The circle button to accept and x button to go back are actually japanese controls. Metal gear solid 1-3 are the same way. So annoying.

@ELOH - you can change around the confirm and cancel buttons. I think it’s under “configure” or something.

I noticed that three out of the top 10 PSN titles were PS One titles. I hope they keep adding more. I’m over 20 hours into FF VII and am loving it.
