Flameboys have spent a number of hours looking at a number of screenshots from Forza Motorsport 3 on the Xbox 360 and the real life pictures of the cars that appear in the game. When you take a closer look, you have to agree that the realism on the Xbox 360 is truly amazing.
Director of Forza Motorsport 3, Dan Greenwalt has said on a number of occasions that Forza 3 is a definitive racing game of its generation. Looking at these screenshots, I think that we can all agree on that. We reported a few days ago that Forza Motorsport 3 will be released in October.
However, I am sure that these are just the playback previews and not the actual footage of the game. If these cars do turn out to look like this, then I think I will be driving them around the race track at low speeds, just so I do not damage the car that I have purchased, well this will be the nearest that I can get to them.

I own just about every car game made for all consoles, with the only exception i can think of being the 3D0.
Forza without doubt has taken over from Grand Turismo as my personal favorite racing simulation on any system, i’m still hopeful GT5 can do something special but after the disappointment of Prologue i’m not sure if they will pull it off or not.
I’m also thinking of upgrading my PC to handle the latest game requirements so if anyone can recommend their personal favorite racing sims for PC i’d appreciate it, i do also play arcade style racing games if they have enough style & depth to draw me in but my preference leans heavily towards sims.
thebottom line is this game isn’t going to be better then gran turismo
Lol comparison photo’s between real life and game footage(assuming that it is game footage) we saw that on the net from prologue 18 months ago.
Stunning looking shots but they very much look like pre-renders. However, I think Polyphony have dropped the ball on the GT franchise regarding direction and timing. They need to stop chasing the “ultimate driving simulation” moniker and just make a game which is both accurate and incredible fun. I used to love the franchise but feel so indifferent to it these days. Maybe I’ve moved on too. Meh.
