Apple’s Snow Leopard and Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L14) Testing

There have been reports that Apple has already made a start on testing a new version of Mac OS X Leopard. The newer version is called Mac OS X 10.5.8 and is labeled 9L14, as you would expect this new beta build has all the bug fixes and performance tweaks.

SoftPedia reports that there are around 27 fixes, which aims to eliminate issues with iCal, iDisk, Spotlight and much more. It was thought that Mac OS X 10.5.7 was going to be the last incremental update to Leopard, before the much-anticipated release of Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.

Apple has only just released OS X 10.5.7 recently, so it shows that they are committed to giving their users the greatest experience with the news of the latest update. There is no set date for Mac OS X 10.5.8, but we do not expect it to be that long.
