Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 release today

Calling all you Call of Duty: World at War fans, Activision and Treyarch have announced that the new map pack will release today, June 11, 2009. This is now the second map to be released for the ever-popular game and features three new Multiplayer levels.

According to Team Box, included in the map pack is an additional level in the 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies bonus mode, which I am sure will keep you busy for hours. It is great to see something as simple as Zombie mode was all it needed to make Call of Duty: World at War so popular.

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have a jungle map with waterfalls and hidden caves, then you need to check out Banzai map. Your aim is to battle for control of the river bridge. Corrosion is yet another cool map; there you will face your enemy in a train yard. The other map in this new map pack is Sub Pens, while caught in a monsoon; you will have to battle to try to take over a bombed-out submarine base.

The new map in Zombie mode is Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp), and features Perk machines, one such machine is the Wunderwaffe DG-2. Well you had better get downloading, what perfect timing for the weekend.

    For some reason the Map Pack 2 is not appearing in my PlayStation Store. Anybody have any ideas??

    Yeah the maps arnt appearing in my ps3 store either wonder if the server has crashed but you would think that they would still have it up but say can’t download yet.

    Just downloaded the new maps on Xbox. I really like ‘em. MP maps seem better than Map Pack 1 but I don’t care can’t stop playing zombies!

    map pack 1 didn’t become available on the ps3 until 7PM. I bet that is was will happen with map pack 2.

    When will the maps be out for PS3? Why dose the xbox get their update b4 PS3 all the time? i find that a little BS.

    i have been asking the same question all day! alot of people said it will come out between 6 and 7 other said 10:30 or 11:00 i dont know whats going on! but im mad!!!!!!! i want it if i find out ill post!

    Downloaded it today! Intense zombies with more freedom of movement and options! Bonzai is phenomenal! Definitely 2 thumbs up on this one!

    Any of you guys played COD5 co-op on the PS3? My girlfriend and I utterly lovely Resistance:FoM and fancy moving onto this next. (local co-op campaign mode)

    xbox gets updats before ps3 because we pay for xbox live marketplace therefore you get your stuff quicker…… and ps3 will always be behind xbox because there is no fan base for ps3. you are a moron. shut your stupid mouth and wait your turn. if you don’t pay you wait….idiot. ps3 sucks for that very reason.

    The reason it comes out on Xbox 350′s before ps3′s is because it’s prefered by A LOT of people because the ps3 is quite much an attempt to copy Xbox 360.
