
Where is CEO Steve Jobs? Not at WWDC 2009
By: Alan Ng | June 10, 2009 | 1 CommentWere you present at this year’s WWDC event? One person that was definately not in attendance was Mr Apple himself, Steve Jobs. It is thought that Jobs wasn’t available to attend due to medical reasons, but is expected to be back in the seat at the end of June.
It’s such an important topic, that the WSJ has written a detailed article on Mr Job’s whereabouts. Analysts have predicted that Jobs absence from WWDC was due to ensuring that the focus of the event remained on Apple’s products and not who was in attendance.
Still though, Phil Schiller, Apple’s marketing chief managed to do a good job of the event didn’t he? At least Steve Jobs will be reassured that business can clearly continue in his absence.
