Processor specs for new iPhone 2009 (3G S)
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

Apple announced the launch of its new iPhone 3G S at the WWDC 2009 live keynote on Monday, we knew what features the Smartphone would have, and we was also told that the handset would be twice as fast as the iPhone 3G.
Apple were tight-lipped over what the hardware was going to power the iPhone 3G S, but T-Mobile Netherlands must have not received that memo from Apple as they already have a page up which tells us what the specs are and what processors and RAM are powering the latest iPhone.
The processor is now a 600MHz CPU that is up from 412MHz and the RAM is up 256MB from 128MB. Like all laptops and computers, we all know how they love extra RAM, so having twice as much RAM is certainly going to make things run a bit quicker.
We can also see that the new Apple iPhone 3G S has the PowerVR SGX graphics chip; it even offers support for OpenGL ES 2.0. We will have to wait until June 19 to see how all these improvements make the new handset perform.
