Sony PSP Go Rage
By: Peter Chubb | June 9, 2009 | 3 CommentsThe news that the new PSP Go will do away with the need for a physical game in favor of offering games as a digital download has filled retailers with rage. These retailers think that the writing is now on the wall for them.
According to Sankaku Complex, those who are in the retail industry have expressed consternation at the move, some retailer say that they had deluded themselves, when they thought they were partners for Sony, but they are merely a distribution channel for products. This is certainly a sad day for retailers, but the Sony PSP Go had to move gaming to a digital format as this helps to drive down costs. On another note, it is far better for the environment not to produce games on the UMD format, there is less plastic being used.
Do you agree with the retailers rage on the PSP Go, or are you happy about just having downloadable games?
