It has been confirmed this morning that the new iPhone 3G S will be launched on the Rogers and Fido network. The new model was announced at yesterday’s WWDC press conference and has got the whole world buzzing with it’s new features and capabilities.
As reported from IntoMobile, Rogers have announced that they will be introducing the new $99 iPhone 3G in Canada too. They also stated that they will be carrying the new iPhone 3G S at $199 and $299 on June 19th for the 16GB and 32GB models respectively.
The bad news though for Roger customers is that they won’t be offering the iPhone 3G S on off-contract, so you’ll have to hope you’re eligible for an upgrade, or you might find yourself paying a considerable termination fee.

As usual, Rogers will do nothing for their customers who want to upgrade except trying to make more money out of them !
Once again, no love for existing customers. I still don’t get that and I give them money. I also hate the 3 year contracts. It’s way too long, especially for all quick development of new phones. I would think it’s better for their business if customers switch to new phones more often. We need more competition for Rogers/Fido - GSM competition.
