AT&T tethering for new iPhone OS 3.0 in 2009
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

When Apple first gave us details of the new iPhone OS 3.0 all those months ago, we knew that it would support data tethering. The WWDC 2009 Keynote was the ideal time for Apple to announce that they will be launching the service with 22 carrier partners in 44 countries, one of which is AT&T.
According to Engadget, AT&T is keeping quiet on the matter at the moment, and is not giving any information away. It is not known if the availability of tethering on AT&T will be delayed until the 7.2Mbps upgrade is ready for launch.
You can be sure that AT&T will be working on their pricing, and do not expect them to offer you a great deal. You only have to look at how hard they are being with its current iPhone 3G customers who wish to upgrade to the new iPhone 3G S. Read more about the upgrade nightmares here.
