Opera Mobile 9.7: Download now for your WinMo phone

If you were to ask people what they thought was the premier browsing platform for WinMo handsets, then Opera Mobile would certainly be at the top of that list. The mobile browser has now been given another boost with Opera Mobile 9.7, which you can now download.

This latest version now employs Opera’s Opera Turbo technology; this offloads pages to Opera’s servers, a lot, like how Opera Mini does. The pages are compressed to a fraction of the original size before it gets set to your handset.

Engadget Mobile informs us that Opera’s site is showing a demo of Opera Mobile 9.7 running on a WinMo phone, it is also using an Edge connection just to prove how much faster the new browser can work. The new browser is said to be about 25 percent faster than the previous version.
