New Fallout 3 game on iPhone and iPod Touch
By: Alan Ng | June 8, 2009 | 22 CommentsBethesda have revealed that designing the iPhone and iPod Touch versions of Fallout 3 is proving to be a challenging task for the team. The mobile version is on the way this year and will try to emulate some of the success that made console versions of Fallout 3 one of the best games of 2008.
As reported from Kokugamer, Bethesda’s Todd Howard was speaking in an interview with Joystiq, about how the iPhone and iPod Touch versions of the game were looking so far. He stated:
“I think that the world of Fallout is unique enough that it could work on any platform. I think some of the things we do like VATS, I think that could translate to any platform, particularly the iPhone. We’ve looked into those things, we just haven’t found the thing that supports the brand well. I wouldn’t be surprised if it does happen one day. The iPhone versions that we’ve designed and said ‘Ehh, we don’t think we’re going to do that right now,’ there are … there are a lot of them.”
It will be interesting to see how the mobile versions look once the game is nearly complete. We’ll keep you updated with progress on this.
