IPhone Software Update 3.0 and Enterprise Apps
By: Peter Chubb | June 8, 2009 | 3 CommentsThe WWDC 2009 is not all about a new Apple iPhone, there is something else, and that is the new iPhone software update 3.0. This update cannot come soon enough for iPhone users, and it is the addition of push-notification and in-app purchases that will lead a new way with enterprise apps for the Apple iPhone.
Infomration Week explains that as the rumors gathers pace on a new iPhone we do know that Apple will be talking in-depth about the iPhone 3.0 software upgrade at the Worldwide Developer Conference. We have to remember that WWDC is all about the software and not hardware, and the update to the iPhone 3.0 OS is certainly going to be a big deal, and will help to improve the usability of the current iPhone’s and iPod Touch’s.
The current iPhone has a number of weak points when it comes to its OS, such as not being able to copy, cut and paste, text forwarding and MMS. The new version will address all of those and much more. There over 100 new features in the upgrade and Apple have only shared a few with us, so we will find out more at the keynote when it kicks off in just over ran hours time.
