IPhone Release Date News: Software 3.0 vs. New Handset

When it comes to the release date of the new iPhone OS 3.0 software and the rumored new iPhone 2009, they are both very different.
While a new iPhone would most likely come with the latest firmware installed, the release date would be months after the WWDC 2009 event today, although the download for the new iPhone 3.0 firmware would come much sooner.
As reported earlier today, this iPhone 3.0 update may be available to download during the Apple WWDC keynote. This means that the improvements to current iPhone models would be huge thanks to the big changes in the new software.
The changes rumored in the new iPhone hardware may be so slight, that you may be happy with the current iPhone model and new software.
Two names have been repeated across the web over and over, this includes iPhone 3GS and iPhone Video. It seems that these are on the money if a new handset is unveiled today.
Although if some analyst’s are right, you may well get the new iPhone 3.0 firmware but NOT the unveiling of a new iPhone at WWDC 2009. It’s our expectation that the iPhone 3.0 download will be today, but the new iPhone hardware will happen but later this year.

I have been trying all morning! Does anyone know if there is a time of day it will be released? I thought they might have turned it loose to us at midnight!

they could have added the camcorder feature to older iphones with that version3 patch but of course they dont…..greed kills……the g1 got an update and made the camera into a camcorder and no need to go out and buy the new version…..
