Find My iPhone: New service at WWDC 2009
By: Peter Chubb | June 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe already know most of the good features that will be part of the new iPhone OS 3.0, but as we suspected, Apple were holding out on us. One of the most impressive features has to be “Find My iPhone” service; this will help you to locate your iPhone if it is lost.
Apple did not give many details away, but Engadget have said that the service will allow you to login to into your MobileMe account. This will then show you exactly where your iPhone is on the map, the service will even send a message to your phone forcing it to play a sound, even if you turned it on silent.
That is not all, you can even use Remote Wipe feature, this will allow you to erase all of the data on the iPhone from another location and then restore it to factory settings.
