Apple WWDC 2009: iPhone 3GS and Video on the money

The start of Apple’s WWDC 2009 is drawing closer and the roundup of rumors is proving that the iPhone 3GS and video capabilities on the new handset are right on the money. PC Pro and Computerworld Blogs both agree that we will see the new handset.

The latest round up of rumors from PC Pro points to evidence that a new iPhone will lead the keynote at the Worldwide Developer Conference, a result of some leaked images from Carphone Warehouse’s internal supply database. The UK’s suppliers for the iPhone have updated its database with 16GB and 32GB models in a choice of black or white.

The rumors of a new 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera offering video recording also looks set to make an appearance on the new handset.

Computerworld Blogs writers have also been looking in to things, Seth Weintraub said that the rumored 2009 iPhone will come with a magnetometer (compass) and will range from 4GB to 32GB. John Gruber said that he hopes that iPhone 3GS is its codename, as it is a bit lame. Some of the more popular names are iPhone Video or iPhone Pro.
