Apple iPhone 3GS: WWDC 2009 keynote rumors
By: Peter Chubb | June 8, 2009 | 1 CommentWith about half-a-day to go until the doors open on WWDC 2009, there have already been a number of keynote rumors. John Gruber from Daring Fireball has been looking at the latest predictions for the Apple iPhone 3GS, which is what he assumes, will be the final name.
Gruber is sticking to his guns about twice the CPU speed and twice the RAM; let us hope that the software can keep up with the hardware. What is the point of great hardware, only for the software to let it down.
It certainly looks as if we will be getting a video camera on the new iPhone 3GS, not sure if there will be a front facing camera like some rumors have suggested. The $199 price tag for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB is keeping with Apple pricing tradition.
The rumors of the lower model iPhone will probably be the current 3G model, which could sell for as low as $99. This certainly makes sense, why spend money and resources builder a new Apple Lite iPhone, when they could just the current 3G model.
So do you think Steve Jobs will make an apperance at the keynote, or should he leave it to big Phil?
