We now know that all those rumors of a new iPhone for 2009 were correct, well most of them anyway. The new iPhone called the iPhone 3G S does not have some of the features that were rumored, but at least we have something that Apple say is two times faster than the iPhone 3G.
Let us take some time to compare the features of the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3G S. The iPhone 3G has a 2 megapixels camera, whereas the iPhone 3G S comes with a 3-megapixel camera with Autofocus, Tap to focus and Video recording.
The iPhone 3G comes with Cut, Copy, and Paste, MMS, Spotlight Search, Landscape Keyboard and Voice Memos. The iPhone 3G S further adds to this with improved performance, Built-in video camera with editing, Voice Control and Compass.
The new iPhone now comes with a choice of 16GB and 32GB in a choice of white or black. The battery now lasts much longer, such as when you are using Wi-Fi. Another feature that we forgot to mention about the new Apple iPhone 3G S is Stereo Bluetooth, we have been waiting a long time for that feature.

I would really like to buy an iPhone, but refuse to as long as they are with AT&T. I had AT&T until two days ago, and hated it. My calls were constantly dropped, my phone shut down by itself in the middle of calls, and I got sick of such poor service. I just switched to Verizon and a Blackberry Curve, and have had no problems whatsoever.
I’ve had the Iphone from day one and have never had any interuption of service. Neither loss of calls or internet blackout. I’ve been miles into the woods hiking even up in Paris Maine and was still able to use all my features. I have had loss of signal when I’m inside of large concreat metal structure buildings.

It heavily depends on where you’re located. I have had Verizon and AT&T. I noticed little to no difference. Although, Verizon does have a greater area of coverage, no doubt. Good idea is to just check your area with both carriers and make and informed decision. But, for what it’s worth - the iPhone is FANTASTIC.
