Apple answers Palm Pre with new iPhone 3GS
By: Peter Chubb | June 8, 2009 | 1 CommentWell it seems that all those rumors of a new iPhone were true, Apple have called its new handset the iPhone 3GS, and looks set to take the battle to the Palm Pre. Palm must be feeling pretty sick right now, as they thought they would be able to take on the iPhone 3G, all the time Apple were planning their next move staying one step ahead of the competition.
Let us take a closer look at the specs of each phone to see how they compare. Well we know that the Pre runs on the new WebOS, and this certainly performs very well. The 3.1-inch touch screen with 24-bit color and 320×480 resolution is very nice, but reports say that there have been a few glitches with the screen, such as dead pixels.
The Physical QWERTY keyboard is great for those who do not like to have just a touchscreen; however, the keys are on the small side. The camera is a 3-mega pixel, which his better than the iPhone 3G, so let us see what the new iPhone 3G S has to offer.
The first thing that you will notice with the new iPhone is the 3-megapixel camera with auto focus, which also offers video recording. There is now a choice of 16GB and 32GB in a choice of black or white. We do not have many more details at the moment. We will update you once we know more.
