New iPhone V3 Rumors: Video 3G or Version 3
By: Daniel Chubb | June 7, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing the news earlier today about a leaked image of T-Mobile Netherlands’ phone catalog that showed new iPhone 2009 models, we are now hearing more from TUAW and Mac Daily News.
This time the new iPhone rumors are about model placeholders that appear in Carphone Warehouse’s inventory. The new models were labeled V3, and it is this that raising questions.
What does the V3 in a new iPhone 2009 stand for? It could mean simply “Version 3” or maybe even ‘Video 3G’.
Mac Daily also says that some carriers are reporting “end of life notices” for the current 3G models. With that in mind, it seems almost certain that some kind of new iPhone is on its way and should be announced at WWDC 2009.
