Modern Warfare 2: Why Call of Duty is not in the name?

There has been a lot of debate to what the next Call of Duty game should be called, some claim it’s COD 6, while others say that’s wrong. This debate was made more confusing when Infinity Ward said the next game will be called “Modern Warfare 2”.

Simply put, it is a Call of Duty game, but that will not be included in the title name. Robert Bowling – community manager – has explained to MTV why the game is called Modern Warfare 2.

According to Blend Games, Bowling said that “This one, is indeed a direct sequel and we just want to make that clear”. So it’s a Call of Duty game, but called “Modern Warfare 2” to show it’s a direct sequel.

You can watch the MTV video with Robert Bowling below. Let us know your thoughts on this, and Modern Warfare 2.

priming people with religious (an non-religious) concepts can make them
change their behaviour to conform to social expectations.
