Sprint: No wild lines for Palm Pre at release
By: Alan Ng | June 5, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhile consumers are waiting patiently for the highly anticipated release of the Palm Pre smartphone, Sprint and Palm have revealed that they are not expecting wild lines of customers on launch day.
As reported from the NYTimes, the Palm Pre goes on sale this Saturday and a Sprint spokesman has said that they don’t expect iPhone-type lines of queues, even insisting they didn’t want them.
“We’re actually trying to manage the exact opposite. What we’re trying to do is not have people backed up waiting so customers feel rushed,”
Somehow, regardless of how Sprint feels, we think there is most likely going to be huge queues for the Pre. Especially given all the reports on low stock.
