By: Alan Ng | June 5, 2009 | 5 Comments

We have yet more conclusions from E3 and more specifically, Microsoft’s new Project Natal motion tech. PCWorld have written an article giving their thoughts on both devices and then how the new motion controllers would fair in some of the most popular game series out.

In their article, they have explained why they think Project Natal has the most interesting capabilities for future gaming, providing the tech they shown works as displayed. Although, they do believe that the PS3 motion controller has the upper hand in some games, due to it’s inclusion of buttons which some games will simply need.

They have used examples of games such as Street Fighter, Call of Duty, Star Wars and Donkey Kong. Take a read of the article in the link above and let us know your opinions on it.

I know it defeats the object a little but there’s nothing to say Project Natal can’t be used in conjunction with a controller.

True statement Slippy Sloppy. A controller could be used along with the natal. But then it almost defeats the purpose. Almost. But imaging trying to move your body and pressing certain button on the Xbox Controller. It may be dificult. They would need clever button layout to come with something like that.

The Natal appears to be more casual based gaming. Just like what the video showed.

The PS3 Motion (along with the Wii Plus) will be for more detailed gaming that requires the precision that the handheld devices give it.

Actually if you think about it, the door swings both ways. Sony could probably knock out a similar software experience like Natal using existing hardware, afterall, Eyepet looks very interesting. So if Sony Wants to drop the controller, they can, If MS want to add a controller they can. Whichever way you look at it, Nintendo are boned.

i felt one of the true next gen consoles could easily incorporate wii functionality an do it 10 times better, i feel bad that once these 2 items hit, nintindo and its wii owners are gonna realize they’re playing gamecube 1.5 with a motion control controller. M$ and Sony now see the potential of movement based games and will now capitalize easily on it with simple(not really) added on peripherals.
