
Intel MIDs: Mojo Mobility’s wireless charging
By: Alan Ng | June 5, 2009 | Leave a CommentMojo Mobility have recently announced Wireless Charging Support for Intel-based Mobile Internet Devices at this year’s Computex 2009 event. The new device was demonstrated at Computex and will now have wireless charging support for the likes of the Palm Pre and iPhone.
Afshin Partovi, CEO of Mojo Mobility had this to say on the announcement:
“We see a tremendous opportunity in the area of wireless power and are pleased to be working with Intel to bring this solution to MIDs. Our NFP™ system is currently being evaluated by multiple top-tier OEMs, mobile carriers, and others for use in a variety of applications. We anticipate OEM products incorporating Mojo™ wireless charging to be shipping in the near future.”
No pricing details were revealed for the new device, but we’ll keep you updated for when its out.
