Infinity Ward: Xbox 360 at limits with Modern Warfare 2
By: Alan Ng | June 5, 2009 | 4 CommentsIn a statement that is sure to get Xbox 360 owner’s attention, Infinity Ward have spoken out and claimed that upcoming sequel Modern Warfare 2 pushes the Xbox 360 to it’s ‘upper limits’.
Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin was speaking over at VG247 during this week’s E3 conference when he made the comments.
He stated: “We always push to the upper limits,” he said. “It’s just a matter of working around them at this point. Having to squeeze more blood from that stone. We added texture streaming now so that we can have a much bigger world, and we can stream in super high detail textures for the area close in proximity to you. And the rendering engine has been redone.”
VG247 points out that the game looked amazing running on the Xbox 360 during E3, so it will be interesting to see what the final product look likes.
