E3: Metal Gear Solid: Arcade and Castlevania: Lords of Shadows announced
By: Alan Ng | June 4, 2009 | Leave a CommentKonami’s press conference at E3 is officially underway and they have revealed yet more surprises for us all. Metal Gear Solid: Arcade was announced, along with the other Metal Gears and then a new Castlevania game titled ‘Lords of Shadows.’
Metal Gear Solid: Arcade will be built on the PS3 Metal Gear online game. The game will enable special use of 3D goggles and features a slick interface and network so gamers will be able to compete on different arcade units. It’s out in Japan this year, no word on a US or EU release yet.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on the PSP was given a bit more spotlight, as was Metal Gear Solid: Rising. In an interesting twist, Kojima revealed that the game won’t be a 360 exclusive as many thought. Instead the game will release on PS3 and PC too.
Lastly, and perhaps most exciting for some of you, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows was revealed. It will focus on the main character called Gabriel and will be a full 3D adventure. From the footage that was shown, it looked fantastic. The game will be out on PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 2010.
We’ll upload footage from Konami’s conference as we get it. Let us know your thoughts.
