When purchasing a Lonely Planet guide for the Apple iPhone, the cost is normally $15.99, but you will be able to get hold of a San Francisco guide for free in anticipation of WWDC. Attendees of the show can now do a little sightseeing before during and after the event.
TUAW has spent a little time with the app, although he did have trouble testing the “nearby” functions, as they are not in San Francisco yet, that testing will come next week. If you are familiar with Lonely Planet guidebooks, then you will know what sort of content you will be getting.
The Apple iPhone Guide of San Francisco gives you all the travel information that you need, the table of contents is very long, which TUAW feels could have been handled better. An example of this is if you wish to look for travel information while attending WWDC, you will have to scroll down to at least 40% of the page. This is not the perfect solution if you are in a hurry. Read the source link within the article for a full review.
Wish it could tell us if the new Apple iPhone for 2009 will be at the event.
