PS3 Motion Controller vs Xbox 360 Project Natal

Microsoft had its day yesterday when they announced Project Natal for the Xbox 360, which does away with the need to use a conventional controller; instead, you become the controller, read more about it in a recent post. Today it was Sony’s turn and they have announced the PS3 Motion Controller.
When you start to read up on the two systems, it becomes evident that they have taken what Nintendo have done with the Wii and gone a step further. However, when you look at the PS3 Motion Controller compared to the Xbox 360 Project Natal, you can clearly see that Microsoft looks to be a far better system.
For a full review on the PS3 Motion Controller, then head over to Cnet News, as they were on hand at E3 2009, they said that, as Sony was the last to go from the big three, all the pressure was on them to come up with the goods.
One thing is certain, E3 will be remembered as being the motion demo show, but which one gets your vote, Project Natal from Microsoft, Wii Motion Plus from Nintendo, or the PlayStation Motion Controller from Sony.

PS3 is better because the ps-eye is will do similar things to project natal and it al ready has but microsoft is copying sonys eye-toy and improved it, but sony will soon have a update on the softwares which will do both things that microsoft and nintendo will do.PS - Everyone is copying everyone.LOL
Really? You honestly think that the eye-toy will have 3d sensing capability/ 3D face + Body recognition (even in low lighting conditions) plus vocal recognition and pin-point sound sourcing from any area in a room?
Not to mention adaptability to objects in the room such a sofas etc?
Please please please tell me that you are just a young and naive boy who is just very enthusiastic about his console of choice? Otherwise, I think you need an IQ check and a biopsy to be certain you are not brain dead.
What is with the utterly biased PS3 owners on this website? They seem to swarm here in their droves!

I own both 360 and ps3
My vote goes to the 360 natal, alot of people say it copies the eye toy but the natal has facial recognition, built in microphone what understand commands and memorizes your vocal pattern!
The ps3 motion detector just realy pissed me off after seeing the natal, playstation seemed like they hadnt even bothered trying to top nitendo, playstation where just happy copying and making a few tweaks!
for some reason i cant realy put my finger on i always feal microsoft constanly deliver new and exiting things.
constant LIVE updates: movies, avitars, party chat and soon sky, facebook and twitter and yes i do have to pay £30 quid a year but i can honestly say its the best £30 i spend all year
The main reason i bought a xbox was because at first i worried GTA would be a ps3 exclusive and i knew metal gear solid would definatly be a exclusive. but the 360 got GTA on board and now have Metal gear!

Yes, Natal is more advanced than the PS2 eye toy. Sony however has a massive buisness that they can assign a department to research the few components they are lacking and get their old eye toy up to standards. Natal looks cool, but I’d like to see a demo of the fine movements they say they can trace. The demo shows the skeleton tracking taking broad tracks. I’d be blown away if they can show individual finger tracking. And Milo just looks way too scripted. Way way to scripted. Notice how Microsoft said people got to meet Milo at E3? How come those videos weren’t released.
Playstation’s Motion Controller is a novel idea. No matter what people say the one-to-one motion tracking will help it leg up on the Wii, and I can see Sony actually developing games that will do the motion sensor more justice for hardcore gamers. Can you say duel wielding pistols? Seeing as they will be releasing next year they’ll also have time to possibly incorporate a better camera if they want to.
Wii, they will pretty much keep their niche. I don’t see neither Sony nor Microsoft coming out with games such as Pony Land, but Nintendo has no problem selling to an extremely young audience. Give them a few years and game developers will peak out the graphics for their games, but they will never rival Microsoft or Sony. Wii is cheap, and easy to pick up so young families will probably stay with that.
And this is why Wii will has won the console war.
Dudes,ps3 motion control is worse than the traditional controler…its like holding two controlers in two hands just like the wii…i dont know how people compare it with natal but i say that they r totaly difrent products…playing hary potter games with ps3 motion control looks like the wands used by harry potter.

You guys have no imagination lets say you want to shoot a AK47 with natal all you have to do is position your hands like your holding a AK47 that easy. You don’t have to yell SHOOT
Xbox natal and Ps3 eye motion controller technology definitely gives us a good gaming experience but i think ps3 might come out better in future. I agree that ps3 eye dont look cool now since the software used is junk. ps3 eye can do the same think like xbox natal since both the systems have the same technology(motion technology with face recog and body motion detection) and ps3 eye has got an extra button tracking as well.
The software used in ps3 eye might be junk right now but they will come up with nice feature in fure….

natal is just ps2 eyetoy but instead showing your body and face it shows the back of your avatars body.
ps3 eye is same as natal but it uses a motion controller and the most unique thing is that it can detect ur gender so transexuals can nout hide from us.
So whats to become of ps3’s break apart contoller then???
