
AMD News: First DirectX 11 GPU
By: Alan Ng | June 3, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been confirmed that AMD have unveiled the world’s first DirectX 11 GPU over at an event in Taiwan. AMD demonstrated the unit publicly and have stated that the GPU will significantly improve your gaming experience.
As reported from Engadget, the new DirectX 11 GPU is to be released towards the end of 2009, that’s according to the official press release.
The demonstration gave examples of faster application performance, new game features and improved high-definition ambient occlusion shading.
AMD have stated that the public showing was to ensure consumers that everything is still on track for a 2009 release, although no further details were given.
