The Sims 3 for Apple iPod Touch and iPhone

EA will release The Sims 3 at midnight for the PC, but the latest edition of the Sims series is coming to the Apple iPod Touch and iPhone. The mobile version is not a port of the PC game, but it is not a watered down version either. The Sims 3 for the iPhone and Touch has its own experience, something that will make users very happy.

IGN have decided to give The Sims 3 for Apple iPod Touch and iPhone an extensive review, and they have given the game an 8.5. IGN starts by saying that the Sim creator is solid when it comes to choosing the gender and general appearance of your Sim.

IGN seems to be very impressed with the mobile version of the EA game; it was great to see that EA did not treat the iPhone as an inferior product. Their final thought is that The Sims 3 for the Apple iPod Touch and iPhone is seriously recommended.

i’ve bought it also for ipod touch, i like it but it does not have as many ablity’s as the pc ones, it’s good but then it sucks.
-You can’t make your own house, only move furniture and upgrade it.
-There isn’t much of a variety of hairstyles and clothes.
+Lots of things to do that you actually do something (example) cooking you have to keep the pots cool by picking them up and shaking your device.
+the upgraded houses do look pretty good.
    +Great graphics for iphone/ipod touch.

    Questions:
I’m not sure how to strike a romantic relationship with someone, is it possible in this game? if not!!!

Also when does the pawn shop open.

    Bottomline:
Great game for iphone/ipod touch (7/10)

yeah im having the exact same problems!
i cant figure out how to have a romantic relationship and I’m already best friends with a lot of different sims.
have you figured it our yet??
i also dont know how to “woo hoo” and it’s one of my goals

      • SuperIsusu says:

To start a romantic relationship you have to do romantic interactions with the sim like flirt, amorous hug, etc. When you do it often enough the relationship would progress to “budding romance”; “dating”; then “partner”.

“Woohoo” is an available option once you build up a relationship enough with the romantic interactions. However sims may refuse to woohoo until they get to the dating or even the partner stage.

i have got my sim a partner but how exactly can u get them to do woohoo?

      • dj says:

u cant be best friends u have to just be friends then be romantic ones u have become partners u can “woohoo”

        • Emma says:

my sims r partners and i cant find the option to make then have a woo hoo. when ever i click romance all that comes up is like hot smooch and tender embrace, flirt and pick up line. how do i ask someone for a woo hoo…and can u have a baby…these questions all apply for the ipod touch.

Im getting the i pod touch in two days and this sounds like a really good deal. only $9.99 for the game. I have sims 2 for my computer but I would say that sims 3 is way better and was worth waiting for!

  5. Nadia says:

I have The Sims 3 for the ipod touch. If this game is limited, then what’s with the pawn shop and its closed due to further notice . ?

  6. Fall79 says:

Great game for my iPod Touch and me iMac.

    iPod Touch pro’s:
    - Extensive game play with countless options,
    - Interactive play. i.e.: Reeling in fish at the pond.
    - Stylish product designs/themes. i.e.: Modern.
    - Fun goals.

    con’s:
    - No build options.
    - Weird room placements when upgrading your house.
    - Seriously, no build options?

As for the full version for my iMac? Play it for yourself. It’s amazing!

    How to woohoo:
After you become friends with a sim, start doing actions like flirting, pickupline until the relationship meter goes to budding relationship. Keep doing romantic actions until the sim becomes your date and then your partner. After they are your partner then click on “be romantic” then click on “hot smooch”. After this click on “be romantic” again and scroll with your finger as the “woohoo” option now becomes available. This took me a while to work out because I didn’t realise at first that you can scroll through your options (options I found through scrolling were “actions”, “be nice”, “be rude” and “goodbye”)

    How to get married:
You can marry a sim (of opposite gender) after you become partners. Just click on the sim you want to propose to and scroll down to “actions” and a “propose” option will be available.

How to ask a sim to move in:
You can also ask a sim to move in with you after you have become partners. Just click on the sim you want to move in with you and scroll to “actions” then click on “ask to move in”. This may not always work because I found that I couldn’t ask my husband sim to move in with me but I could ask my girlfriend partner to move in.

So far I managed to somehow be married to a male sim, partners with a female sim and asked her to move in and dating another sim at the same time (I was just trying out the different things I could do). As for having babies I don’t think you can because I haven’t seen any options.

Also does any one know how to make a sim jealous? I tried everything from boasting about cooking, fishing etc. to inviting my husband and another male sim over and being romantic to one trying to make the othe one jealous?? but this doesn’t work.

go over to a married couples house. establish a romantic relationship with the husband or wife. then kiss them, or woohoo when their spouse is in the room

    • Josh says:

I can’t get anyone to move in. The only action I got was from my boss but it said ask for a raise, break up and quit job. Nobody else says action on there sims

  8. Nick says:

How do you make the pawn shop open

  9. 100 says:

how do i make children on sims

  10. MM14 says:

ok, i understand HOW to get in a romantic relationship, but how LONG does it take?!? feels like forever!

    • thedude says:

don’t try to flirt when their already best friends. when their friends, put the moves on him/her, and it’ll go by quick. check in the relationships status and see how it’s going. most of the time it’ll be in the relationship status when you talk to them.
