Project Natal: Will Wii owners switch to Microsoft?

By: Peter Chubb | June 2, 2009 | 7 Comments

Microsoft’s annual E3 press conference got off to a great start yesterday, as they announced the development of Project Natal for the Xbox 360. This is a hands-free motion-sensitive controller system; this means that you will no longer need to use that bulky controller.

Microsoft has seen the success that Nintendo have had with its Wii console where the user is more involved in the game. Microsoft being the clever people that they are thought that they would go one better, and our first impressions show that they have certainly done that.

We have learnt much about Project Natal, but the one thing that we wanted to know was, when is the realse date for this new Xbox 360 technology. My cousin and brother had an Xbox 360, but decided to get rid of it as they were happy with their Wii and Sony PS3, but now they are thinking of purchasing an Xbox 360 once again.

The question is, will they as well as other Wii owners stop using the console and switch to the 360 just so that they can take advantage of the new Project Natal. Please comment below

;) ….I thought about it as soon I saw it…this is the begging of Nintendo Wii death…LOL…Microsofr got Nintendos best thing and took it furhter…waaay further, coming to the Project natal, which is the most revolutionary feature on game consoles to date….Im sure Xbox sales will definitely go higher as the Wii’s start droping, together with PS3…those are my 2 cents

I think loyal nintendo fans will stick with the wii – you know the ones that fantasize about dwarvern italian plumbers but the people that just bought it for the control system will definetly want natal. As joe said its revoloutionary.

Now ps3 are trying to claim its just the EyeToy which of course it isnt. Natal Makes the EyeToy look like your girlfriend first thing in the morning *slap*.

So wii sales will drop. Indefinetly.

The answer will depend on the price with this new revolutionary technology!
We have no idea about the release date.. so what about its price???!!!!

You people don’t really know the genius that is Nintendo. Fan boys singing the same song from Microsoft xbots. Question, why is Toyota the leading automoblie manufucturer? Trust me people will still buy Nintendo, here is the catch. Ps3 has their strange wand, Microsoft will sell yes but mark these words Nintendo has fought many battles; till today no one makes games better than they do period.

Well, this year Project Natal will be released, together maybe with a “new” XBox. So what, Nintendo will then bring a new one out too – maybe they learn and give their new baby a better graphic and maybe blue ray – who knows. I have now a Wii and atm im goin into buyin a new xbox with natal. But not as a replacement for my wii (my son loves it too much :) )but as a extension of my home entertainment. Microsoft combines it together with a mediacenter thats imho the winning factor in this “war” – Nintendo should do the same.

    my 2 cents.

Ok, lets make this clear. All of you people who own PS3 & 360's that went and bought the eyecam, knowing that Natal was coming out and you wouldn't get it…. are FOOLS. End of.
