E3 2009: Epic games announce Shadow Complex for Xbox 360

Well it didn’t turn out to be Gears of War 3, but it did turn out to be something rather good anyway. Epic games have just announced Shadow Complex exclusively for the Xbox 360.

As JoyStiq reports, Shadow Complex is a platform type action game which combines elements from games such as Super Metroid and Contra. The game is a 2D platformer but with impressive 3D graphics and backgrounds.

Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski has stated that the game will be released onto Xbox Live Arcade and is expected some time in the Summer, meaning that they have been keeping this game under lock and key some quite some time now!
