Delaware General Motors Plant Closing: end of an era
By: Alan Ng | June 2, 2009 | 1 CommentWe have been hearing details on the closure of one of the oldest General Motors factory plants to date. The Boxwood Road plant has been running for 62 years and provided workers with well paid jobs and plenty of retirement options. That’s all set to change now with it’s closure planned within the next few months.
As reported from CourierPostOnline, the Boxwood Road Plant is likely to be closed before July 27 according to John Raut, a spokesman for the GM plant.
The closure of the plant will see GM gain one step closer to their planned closure of 2,100 dealerships across the country.
