
Qualcomm Snapdragon Smartbooks (aka Netbooks)
By: Alan Ng | June 1, 2009 | Leave a CommentQualcomm have revealed that they are in communication with a number of Taiwan ODMs about unveiling their latest line of Snapdragon netbooks, which Qualcomm are calling ‘Smartbooks’.
According to PCMag, ASUS, Foxconn, High Tech Computer (HTC) and Toshiba are just some of the big names that are showing off products at the Computex Taipei show. PCMag state that over 15 manufacturers are in the process of developing Qualcomm Snapdragon products .
Heres where the Smartbook tag comes in. Qualcomm have stated that their products are capable of lasting all day on just a single charge and can run for a week on standby time. Features of the Snapdragon range include WiFi, GPS, 3G and Linux OS.
