Nintendo’s new version of Wii Fit

Nintendo are hoping to have a resurgence of people wanting to purchase a Wii Fit, which is why they plan to launch a new version of the home exercise game. The new Wii Fit will be launched in the autumn, which is perfect timing for the holiday season, as Nintendo need to increase sluggish sales of its device.

The new version will be called Wit Fit Plus and will have the ability for friends and family to compete over the Internet to get in shape. Reuters also reports that Nintendo is to launch a new version of its Mario game series in the late part of 2009.

The new Nintendo Wii Fit Plus will be more precise in its measurements, this will now be much better for you to keep an eye on your weight and overall health. The problem is will the new version ever be as popular as the old version, which was a revolution when it came to games consoles.

The new Wii Fit Plus should work perfectly with the new Motion Plus Remotes.

Bloody hell, not content with repackaging and selling us consoles we already own they’re doing it with the peripherals too. How many times can we re-buy the kit we already have? If they’re not careful this will have an adverse affect on all sales as people won’t buy something they know will become instantly obsolete, with a new and improved version around the corner.

I’m a fan of all three and I’m not impressed by Sony’s repeated efforts repackaging the PSP either.
