GM bankruptcy and your warranty
By: Peter Chubb | June 1, 2009 | 1 CommentWe reported in an earlier post that General Motors have now filed for bankruptcy, but millions of GM consumers are now asking what will happen to their warranty. This is certainly a good question, one that USA Today has been taking a close look at.
For those consumers who have been asking if their warranty will still be honored, the simple answer is yes, this includes extended warranties as well. The reason for this is that GM has the federal government standing behind them, who have also reassured General Motors and Chrysler owners that they have nothing to worry about.
Consumers are also asking about their GMAC car loan, all you need to do is keep making your payments as normal. For those who have been asking if they will get a better deal now that GM have filed for bankruptcy, there will now be some sweet deals around very soon, so best to hold off for a while.
