Good news for BlackBerry Curve 8330 owners now, as Telus Mobility have released an official BlackBerry OS update for customers. You’ll now be able to update the OS to version 4.5.0.160 if you wish, although little details have been released on what the update entails.
As IntoMobile reports, BlackBerry Curve 8330 owners but non Telus customers will still be able to take advantage of this update by simply deleting the vendor.xml file.
As with every official OS update, users are advised to backup all important information and files in case of any problems that may occur during or after the update.

I upgraded from .131 the sprint os. So far so good. I have noticed the timer when calling. Aslo when I send a picture through blackberry berry messenger it is alot faster. Memory mangament is way better. My blackberry seems more stable. Alt control delete time is cut way in half. Defenitly worth upgrading the os. Plus i like to fix and break stuff.
I am sorry for saying this but I spoke too soon. After the upgrade the phone chrips while making calls really super annoying. I found others with the same problem and they changed the cdma file in the shared folder and reload the os. I will keep you guys updated to see if that works. Sometimes new is not always better but when you crackberry addicted it can be tempting.
