We have been teasing you for a while now with various details on the Sony Ericsson Idou phone. Today, Sony Ericsson officially announced the phone and will be now known as the Sony Ericsson ‘Satio’.
As reported from the SEMCBlog, You’ll be able to pick up the Sony Ericsson Satio in a choice of three colours: Black, Silver and Bordeaux. We have to say, we didn’t see the third (Bordeaux) colour coming and it looks great.
Here’s a quick refresh of specs for you. The Satio will come will a whopping 12.1MP camera with Xenon Flash, a large 3.5-inch 360×640 pixels TFT touchscreen, MicroSD support and will run on the S60 5th edition Symbian Operating System.
Here’s the important bit, Sony Ericsson have said that the Satio will be launched this October, so you’ll need to decide if you want to wait all Summer for one or not.
Are you going to one of these up? We are hearing that the phone will still not come equipped with a 3.5mm audio socket, what are your thoughts on this?

hi i just wanna know when this mobile will launch in australia n abt the price in australia.thnx
how much is it??

Why is it that every site that reviews Sony Ericsson phones complain about 3.5mm headphone jacks? The whole point of having Bluetooth 2 means you can listen to music in stereo without a bluetooth clip. S.E have great products in this line. Its the wireless way to listen to music… Who wants a cable coming out of your phone any way! I Always listen to music through my bluetooth and it totally rocks! Review sites get with the times PLEASE!!!
1st you can never get the same sound quality with Bluetooth as with a cable
2nd, as I (and probably a lot more people) tend to be forgetful with recharging batteries its pretty annoying not to be able to listen to your music because your headphones’ batteries are discharged.
If you can remember to charge your mobile phone, you can remember to charge your bluetooth headphones. I use mine daily and the sound quality with the bluetooth “in-ear buds” headphones is absolutely fantasic. Plenty of bass, plenty of volume and round great sound.
3.5 mil jacks? That’s not keeping up with the technological age is it! Wireless technologies arn’t just the future, they are here and now, and should be embraced.
I’m sure the Satio will be as good as I expect, and I do have high expectations of Sony Ericsson. I have had the SE K700, the K750, the k800 and the k850 (my current model) and I have never been disapointed with features and performance. SE, in my personal opinion, make the easiest to use, feature packed mobiles.
although i agree that SE are usually th most supperior in quality when its comes to phones, i disagree that u can not have had any problems with your k850.
i would like to know where you found this marvel as ive had 6 in my 18 month contract and the software issues are just awfull,
bring on the satio, the new O.S should really sharpen up the phones capabalitites
I agree with GH057!!! i had a bluetooth adapter for my SE earphones and found myself forgetting to charge it as its not like a phone with a battery meter. And if ppl want to use their earphones they’d have 2 buy an adapter to plug it into the stupid SE plug thingy. Wake up sony ericsson every1 else has 3.5mm jacks…..y dont u???
oh and if this phone is anything like the c905 with wonderful expectations it’ll b crap n barely working most of the time. I now believe ppl wen they say SE phones always break….after my 4th replaced fone.
Yeah no doubt. The C905 was such a let down because it kept breaking all the time…and the GPS never worked properly. Cost a bomb as well.
yh i got a C905 and i’ve just got it back from its third repair!! all i’m doing now is hoping it won’t break until the satio comes out finally cause i am starting to really dislike the C905! out of my 9months i’ve had it, 1.5 of those months, my phone was getting repaired!
