The legendary automotive entrepreneur, Malcolm Bricklin, has said that he has spent the last year spending not only time but also money as well on developing something that we all thought was a scam. This could actually be a good outcome with the Chrysler and GM dealerships closing, as Bricklin is looking to purchase up to 300,000 new vehicles from General Motors and Chrysler.
The Boston Herald explains that Malcolm Bricklin is hoping to open at least two factories for his new product, something that GM and Chrysler rejected. So what does Bricklin plan to do with the 300,000 new vehicles, well he will upgrade the interiors from standard to luxury and then go ahead and install a hydrogen hybrid engine technology, which he hopes will double the fuel efficiency.
Malcolm’s company would market these new vehicles as Visionary Vehicles/Chrysler or Visionary Vehicles/GM. The cars will be cherry-picked from the manufacturers’ existing dealer network, in the hope of finding the perfect dealer to sell and service these new vehicles.
