A day does not pass without another iPhone rumor, the latest is that Apple will repackage the current 8GB iPhone 3G and then make it available as a low-end new series of the 2009 version of the much-anticipated smartphone.
According to AppleInsider, two analysts reckon that this model would sell for $99, and that it will have the same specs as the current 8GB model. How much truth there is in the rumor we do not know, but it is certainly something to think about.
Apple could be on to a winner here, they know that consumers would like to own an iPhone but are priced out of the option. The decision to offer a low-end new series, could allow Apple to gain a new market share. Although this is great news for many, what we all what to see is the new high-end iPhone.
