Google Wave at I/O conference
By: Peter Chubb | May 29, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf someone was to invent e-mail today, I bet it would look very different to what we are used to today. Well Google have shown of a preview application of Google Wave at the I/O conference, and is considered the e-mail for tomorrow.
Google have now activated the Google Wave website, but PC World informs us that access to the application is restricted. The team behind Google Maps developed Google Wave; Lars and Jens Rasmussen lead the team.
The easiest way to explain Google Wave is to think of it as an open-source version of Gmail, which is constructed via instant messaging. For you to start a wave two users have to start up an instant-message session, this can then be archived as a conversation.
