If you’re looking to pick up Red Faction: Guerilla when it gets released in North America on June 2nd, you should have a look at this review we’ve found first, courtesy of Game Informer.
They have judged the game using their standard format: Concept, Graphics, Sound, Playability, Entertainment and Replay. If some of you were left disappointed with the recent demo for the game, GI certainly wern’t. They have given the game a very impressive 9/10, praising areas such as the technology behind the destructable environments in the game.
Other highlights include the single-player campaign, which GI say is ‘lengthy, and continually rewarding‘ . Have a read of the full review in the link above and let us know if you’ll be picking this up.

I played the demo it sucks assssssssss.
After the original Red Faction was a lovely idea but not implemented well (hence the average reviews all those years ago) I never really sat down with a destructible environment game. However, I’ve played the PS3 demo and was utterly howling with laughter. The destruction is sensational. Buildings break so realistically whether you bomb them or slam a heavy truck into them. The satisfaction from such a feat is stunning. The cream on the cake was picking up the Walker vehicle and truly smashing every man-made structure to bits. Good grief… happy chemicals swimming around in my brain. Really glad it’s starting to garner some serious attention and be rewarded with quality reviews.
Definitely one to keep an eye on.
