Moblin version of Linpus Linux Lite OS at Computex
By: Peter Chubb | May 28, 2009
With the release of the Linux Foundation’s Moblin 2.0 Beta, a number of people have missed the fact that the software is targeted more at Linux distributors and not at end-users. However, you would not think so when you take a closer look at some of the promotional activities that have taken place.
UMPCPortal explains that it is not this that has got peopling talking; it is their disappointment after testing the software out. Going forward from here, it looks more likely that the Linux Foundation will still target distributors rather than the all-important end-user.
UMPCPortal will be on hand at the Moblin keynote in Computex on June 3, but Linpus have announced the full release of Linpus Lite based on Moblin 2.0, so this kind of backs up what has been said. View screenshots here
