It has been revealed that the UK police could be recieving an upgrade to their current vehicle solution. It’s no ordinary upgrade either as reports suggest that Jaguar are preparing to release a police package for the Jag XF.

According to AutoBlog, the exact details of the Jaguar police XF is as follows. The new vehicle is said to feature ”a new twin-turbo XF Diesel S, a 3.0-liter unit pumping out 275 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque”.

The Police XF will also be supplied with an electronic package which will power police equipment such as the radio and external lights.

You’ll be one cool member of police if you manage to drive one of these while on duty. We’ll let you know once it gets released.

I am sure this is a wonderful car but while the rest of us struggle to keep going the good old Police spend money like it grows on trees. The idea is to get them out of car onto their 2 legs not to keep them in cars. I wonder how long before they knock someone down on a pedestrian croassing and kill them.

Robo, maybe you would prefer the police walked while you are being stabbed or robbed, or break down because the 10 year vectra which you clearly wish to see them drive has 900000 miles on it? Just coz Jag build doesnt mean it will be bought. Get a grip

Why do the police need such expensive cars ?. Surely a Skoda Octavia VRS diesel would do a similar job. Or if they are looking for a fast diesel, a bmw 3 series.
