D7 News: RIM CEO says SurePress is here to stay
By: Peter Chubb | May 28, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has come as no surprise that RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis while on the stage at D7 said that SurePress is here to stay. Not sure if we expected any different really, Lazaridis just stated the obvious, although it was a bit scandalous.
Engadget explains that there has been no clarification as to what he means by this announcement, as the upcoming RIM BlackBerry Storm 2 will not come with the click-screen mechanism. However, Engadget does have a theory on this.
RIM could have developed something different to a physical click; this could or could not duplicate the functionality adequately. However, we all hope that RIM has removed the frustration that users experienced with the physical click on the BlackBerry Storm. Whatever the new technology turns out to be, we know that it will be called SurePress.
