Under 150K new Palm Pre phones at launch

We have just over a week to go until the launch of the Palm Pre and there are reports that the new smartphone coming to Sprint could become short of stock quickly as there are under 150K units made. It seems as if Hong Kong-based manufacturer Foxconn International is having problems with the demand of high volumes that stores are hoping for.

Tech Trader Daily explains that we already know that the Palm Pre will be in short supply in the early phase of its launch on June 6, Best Buy have already admitted that they will have a limited supply of stock.

Let us take a closer look at the 150,000 units that have been made, Apple sold more than 270,000 iPhones in the first two days of its launch back in June 2007. When you look at it like that, even if the Pre is half as popular, stores will run out of stock in under four days.

In a recent poll it shows that the Palm Pre is beating the iPhone 3G

Kumar has been trashing the Pre since the get go, don’t believe anything he says. He has gone out of his way to be interviewed and give false statements about Palm and the Pre. And he is also the ONLY person to have spread this 150K rumor.
