Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ400: UK release date
By: Peter Chubb | May 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere have been rumors for months of a Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ400, but we can now announce that the car is finally ready for us to take a closer look. The new Evolution will be on sale in the UK in June, and I am sure that people will be queuing to get their hands on the beast.
The Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ400 certainly has some power under the hood, pushing out 403 hp at 6,500 rpm while producing 387 lb-ft of torque helping it achieve 62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Autoblog explains that the extra power is thanks to a new turbo and a set of high-flow fuel injectors a high temperature turbine and an uprated thrust bearing is certain to make turbo lag a thing of the past.
The new intercooler helps to bring the charge down, and a new ECU will perform all the magic while you just sit back and drive. The ride height has been dropped another by 30 mm, so it will feel like your bottom is kissing the road.
The Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ400 will cost £49,999.
If you are looking fro something a little greener, then why not think about a Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric car.
